    Our Wicker Baskt was the sweetest way for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. Our picnic for 2 was set up on a quaint dock, with lots of pillows and cozyness for comfort. My husband and I got to have a beautiful meal and enjoy each others company while watching the sunset in beautiful Ephraim, Door County. The fact that I didn’t have to lift a finger and had someone so creative and kind set up this experience made it amazing. So worth it.

Wicker Baskt delivers gourmet picnics up and down the peninsula
There are two ways to view every picnic.
On one hand, you get to eat a summery meal in the open air, paired with a lovely view of your choosing. On the other hand, you have the hassle of setting everything up and packing it away again. (It turns out there’s a reason why picnics are usually reserved for special occasions.) 
As the owner of Wicker Baskt, a Door County–based luxury picnic business that’s in its second season of operation, Bree Kotwitz doesn’t mind the hassle. She provides the food and serving pieces; arranges the picnic spot with chairs, pillows, blankets and décor; and cleans up everything afterward.
“All clients have to do is show up,” she said.
Understandably, things aren’t nearly as easy on Kotwitz’s end. Orchestrating a picnic starts in the commercial kitchen she uses at Sturgeon Bay’s Northeast Wisconsin Technical College campus, where she prepares her food.

Hi, I’m Bree

The owner of Wicker Baskt! I transplanted to Door County in 2019 after working abroad for several years in the travel and hospitality industries. I am an artist, sailor, yoga teacher, foodie, and nature enthusiast.

My desire to showcase the best that Door County has to offer is on display in each picnic and grazing event. Collaborating with local businesses and artisans, pairing colorful foods, and DoCo’s natural beauty are the things that inspired me to create Wicker Baskt. I look forward to creating a unique experience with you and for you in the coming months!
